from 26 reviewsStrong, well made, good colour, heavy enough to lay, but not too much to carry. Great carry bag too
A really useful little pouch for use on location or set. Great for all those little bits and bobs you use but get lost inside larger cases. So good I bought five of them!
Very happy with the product.
Delivery was very quick.
I can now fly late nights in the dark and dont freeze the hands of my body. I use toe warmer to help
Bought Whitetail’s 5ft weighted drone mat which was put straight to work across all kinds of terrain; rock, grass, sand both wet and dry in very mixed and windy conditions. Perfect addition and excellently weighted with a very well appointed carry bag with handles, single shoulder and dual shoulder straps covering off any method of transporting. Had a small issue with some stitching separating on the rim and the guys replaced immediately, sending the replacement prior to us returning the first mat; this kept us on the go with no period of doing without. Thats excellent customer service in my book. Will definitely be buying more kit from Whitetail.
I have been testing the various versions of this product through its development. I personally do not like wearing gloves when flying, i have tried all types of gloves, feels like every time i was in tiso i was buying a different pair of gloves to try.
I do a mixture of media production / construction work, i find myself in pretty remote areas were the wind chill can quickly make your fingers numb and when you have a 12 hour shift on shite it can become rather painful and trying to be smooth on the sticks becomes even more difficult.
I am really happy with the finished product and would highly recommend to anyone who uses either the DJI RC Plus or the Matrice version the RC Plus 2.
Arrived on time. Well constructed, good sized launch pad. It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for in life and I am happy.
I’ve thought I could get away with a cheap take off mat but the inspire 2 made the edges of the mat flick up which as you can imagine when trying to land is a bit worrying. I bought this because its weighted down around the edges which stops the problem with the prop wash, also means you don’t need to bother staking it into the ground. The mat is a good size, gives you that bit of extra space to land especially on those gusty days or if you have an audience and the pressure is on to try and land bang on the H. Due to the design it’s a little heavier than the cheaper mats but its also double sided orange on one and blue on the other, the blue side actually works pretty well as I never thought I would use it but the orange can blend into the winter browns.

Bought the 3ft, used it half way up a mountain in winter
I have been using the 5ft drone mat for the last few years, due to the amount of gear im carrying now to do both ground and air I purchased the 3ft, just to reduce the weight a size and find it more than adequate to land on, does need a bit more precision so bare that mind when flying infant of a client.

Used this pad for several shoots in open countryside, often on uneven grass and dirt tracks. It holds up well and doesn’t move much, even when landing a Matrice 300 in gusty conditions. Helps keep dirt out of the motors, though the fabric does collect a bit of mud if the ground is damp. Folds up fine, just takes a bit of practice.
Most of my flights are over dry, dusty ground, and before using this, my Inspire 2 would get a layer of dust on the camera every time I landed. This pad helps massively with that. The material wipes clean easily, and it seems durable enough to last.
WHITETAIL TAKE OFF MATT PROVIDES PROTECTION DURING TAKE OFF AND LANDING I WILL SUGGEST IT GREAT PRODUCT :)
I have an Inspire 2 and this is awesome. Looks professional and works great.
